I've been interested in old cars for as long as I can remember, I bought my first VW (66 bug) when I was 14 with paper route money. While working on it in my driveway a guy pulled in driving a cool odd orange roofless car that I could not identify. I asked him what it was and he told me it was a deserter dune buggy. It was awesome and I knew I needed to own a buggy someday. This "guy" would stop by once in a while over the next 2 years to see how I was doing on my project and give me tips on vws. I got my driver's license in 1996 and started driving my daily driver bug. This "guy" stopped by again and told me about a car club that met the first Tuesday of each month, and told me I should check it out. So I did, I joined, made some great friends, and have been a bug club member since.
At this point I have had just about every model of air-cooled VW made and a few old cars VW didn't make. I love old cars, I live with my wife in londonderry NH and I work in the auto parts industry.
Oh and the "guy" was Gerry.
