We've had a lot of people ask for repair shop recommendations lately, so I thought it's time we put together a list of shops & experts all over New England.

Please comment with the name of the shop you use and what they are great at (Engine, General Repair, Paint & Body, Upholstery, Etc.). Once we have a good list I will add a directory to the site.

Lets help people keep their VWs going!

That sounds like a great idea. Can we also include new & used parts sources? Chuck

I want to second the Bellingham Imports suggested above. I’ve sent a few buggy friends there and all have been more than happy.

Whats the difference between being a "member and limited member"?

Are dues due on a particular date each year or a year from your last payment?

Hi Steve dues are due each calendar year on 1/1. Dues are $15 per year and can be paid on the site, by mail, or in person.

"Limited members" are just folks who have joind the site but have not yet become club members

"Members" are full club members

If someone joins the club I will change their "status". I try, but don't always change it back if the members don't pay their dues the next year, so it's not an exact tally of current membership. Also not all club members are online.

Hi, I am glad to have found your site. I have a 1972 dune buggy that was given to me many years ago that has been sitting dormant for many years in my garage that I am finally getting around to having restored.  I am interested in finding a shop to take on this project and was looking for some information.  I am in Newburyport, MA so any local shop anyone could recommend would be great.  I am assuming it needs a lot of work so this would be a longer term project.

Thanks, Jim
